Procedures for students who would like to take doctoral qualifying exam

1- Öğrenci işlerinde GANO kontrolü yapılmalıdır. (GANO en az 3 olmalıdır). Student must have a GPA of 3.0 or above in graduate coursework

2- Öğrenci işlerinde Yabancı Dil kontrolü yapılmalıdır. (Yabancı Dil puanı en az 60 olmalıdır). Student must have  a score of 60 or above in relevant foreign language competency examinations.

3- Gerekli şartları taşıyan öğrenci, Yeterlilik Sınavı  Jüri Belirleme formunu Enstitümüz web sitesinden veya öğrenci işlerinden almalıdır. Appointment of the Doctoral Committee form must be received from the Student Affairs division.

4 -Bağlı olduğu Anabilim Dalı Başkanlığı Jüriyi belirlemeli ve formu onaylamalıdır.

The department chair must determine the doctoral committee  and must approve the  Doctoral Committee form.

5-Öğrenci, Yeterlilik Sınav Jürileri belirleme formunu Enstitümüze teslim ettikten sonra Enstitü Yönetim Kurulu Kararını takip etmelidir.

Student must  follow  Institute Administrative Board

6-Yönetim Kurulu Kararı gereğince onay alındıktan sonra öğrenci jürilere uygun olan tarihi belirlemeli  ve  sınavına girmelidir.

As soon as the  Administrative Board approves the form,  student must determine a date for doctoral qualifying exam and must take the exam.

7-Öğrenci Yeterlilik Sınav Tutanağını Enstitümüz web sitesinden veya Enstitümüz öğrenci işlerinden almalı, sınav sonucunda sınav jürisi tarafından başarı durumu belirlenip imzalanmalıdır.

Report of the Qualifying must have the original signatures of all committee members after the exam results are announced.

8-İmzalanmış Yeterlilik Sınav Tutanakları (üç nüsha) Anabilim Dalı Başkanlığı tarafından üç gün içinde kapalı zarf içinde Enstitümüze teslim edilmelidir.

Reports of the Qualifying Examination (3 copies) must be submitted in a enclosed envelope to the Institute by the department chair within  3 days of the final results

Not: Yeterlilik sınavları Eylül/Ekim ve Şubat/Mart aylarında olmak üzere yılda iki kez yapılmaktadır.

Doctoral Qualifying Exams take place twice a year, specifically in September/October and in February/ March.
